I cannot remember voting to give anyone a month of free rent, my illusions of being a landlord are shattered! Had there been a vote though, I would have voted for it, and it is great to see some vacant properties finding tenants, so well done to propertymoose for this initiative. Perhaps a little lack of advance information to us investors regarding this however? - and without a 'tenant found' message I have no idea which other properties this might yet apply to. This has seen four of my new investments find tenants, and goes some way to restoring my faith in propertymoose -provided the tenants really are there to stay. Whether it is worth keeping the shares until some rent money actually shows up is another matter...

I'd be more concerned about the Dogs, repairing/cleaning up after them when tenant moves out can be expensive. Brian

Brian Also if the tenant moves out , I would have voted no if you entice tenants in by a free month they are not the kind of tenants you want, unless you do it someting like pay up front for a year and we will give you a free month.

I've been wondering for months when investors in properties offering a month's rent free were asked if they were in agreement or not before that incentive was offered. I've stumbled across this thread and it seems that we weren't asked, or at least some of us missed the votes somehow. How can that be? Surely when we invest in a property we don't give PM carte blanche to make decisions like this, or am I mistaken? There should have been a vote per property, not a vote in general, if there was any vote at all. I've noticed at least 6 of my investments offering it and I don't see how I could have missed votes on all of those. I've messaged PM for clarification as to who made the decision and why investors weren't consulted.
