Aaaagh I've got an MSc in Systems Analysis, but I can't locate the dropbox with the past loan info in it. Can someone help me? I got the degree in 1989, maybe I'm a bit rusty.

No need to go to the dropbox: just assume that most of them have something other than an A rating......
If you have problems filling in the yadayda bit PM me: i know you are legit TC lender so I can go look it up from a link I have on a different "electronic device".

The "correct" answer to the OP is that you access the Dropbox via the VIP site www.thincats.net, using your membership number and the password you were given when you funded your account. If you've lost that, ask TC admin. Alternatively, if you can access the VIP forum, you will find the updated link somewhere on there.

It's the "somewhere on there" which is the problem. I'm coming to you for help, Brackers.

I hope this helps
Another Way – Assuming The Loan is Listed on The Secondary Market : Click on Invest and then Secondary Market Highlight the Loan, left click on loan then wait for the balls to stop rotating . Click on the grey VIEW button on the far right of the row. If the loan is not [R*] or [Refactored] then you will be able to use the tab to view Loan Part Details which will include the ‘Loan Description’ and ‘Parent Loan Details’ then you will be able to see the original documentation and Q&A. If the loan is [R*] or [Refactored] then you will be able to view the ‘Loan Part Auction Summary’ which when you click the name of the borrower that is displayed on the bottom line of the left and highlighted in blue. Then click on the name of the loan. You will arrive at the details for the original loan which you can access as above. Assuming the loan is one you hold Click on the sell icon. Then scroll or page down to your loan, You can alter the sort to alphabetical based on loan or borrower name, highlight as above then scroll to foot of page and click on the blue ‘View Loan Details Button’ and the original Loan Description should appear.

As Alison said above the log in works (from thincats.net), it's just old direct bookmarks to the dropbox you may have been using that wont work anymore.
Somewhere on there is the first page of the '2017 Thincats IT Comms' thread.

It seems that if you sign in from the page forum.thincats.net using your forum user name and password, one is signed in at sub VIP level and unable to see the dropbox link. Even though you will be on the site with the same identity as if you signed in through the thincats.net page.
Thanks to bracknellboy for lighting that candle in the darkness. If it was inflammable I would be using that candle to set fire to the .net forum.

You need to go in from 'thincats.net' not 'forum.thincats.net', and use your membership number and the password to thincats.net, not your forum user name and password.
I have separate bookmarks to the forum and to the dropbox, which effectively skip the thincats.net log in, until someone changes the link and you have to set it up again from first principles by going in through thincats.net.
Edit: Using 'forum.thincats.net' also skips straight to the forum log in, rather than having to go through 'thincats.net', but doesn't give access to the dropbox.

Yes, greenwood2 you put it perfectly. I somehow did not guess that there was a thincats.net password and a forum password where entry via the latter one hides the dropbox. I am still not good enough to play Thincats at 'Genius' level, after all these years.

I had pretty much forgotten about thincats.net, because it was years ago I set up direct bookmarks. A trip down memory lane!

Mmm. Although TC has been much better in recent months (eg I even got a same-day payment into my bank account yesterday rather than the former 3-5 day wait) this post reminds me how over complicated TC's operating system remains as compared to many of the other sites. Still, I remain with them for now ... but look forward to the time when the TC interface will actually be user friendly!
