small piece I put up - gone in an instant (which was nice for my housekeeping efforts) but have the SS bots relocated ? That's the thing with bots... you don't have to relocate them, you just clone them...

I have no proof that there are bots on MT, but the thought has crossed by mind over the past few days. Several times I have gone to the invest page but by the time I've entered the amount to invest and clicked 'invest', it's no longer available. It could of course be someone selling to themselves or other people just happened to be manually refreshing the page and I've just been unlucky.
When I joined MT, the fact that I could obtain stuff on the secondary market was quite important to me: it meant I could diversify across a selection of loans relatively quickly without needing to wait for new loans to originate. My main use of secondary market now is to reinvest interest payments.
Just thinking out loud: I wonder if MT could add an "auto-buy" feature. If I have uninvested money in my account, could I perhaps select loads A,B,C,D and if any of them come up for sale on the SM, then have the platform execute an automatic buy on them? How to fairly divvy-up the amount for sale to all the interested buyers could be awkward I admit.

Didn't Skynet come online in the late 90's 😄

Didn't Skynet come online in the late 90's 😄 Astrium do actually operate satellites on behalf of the MOD called Skynet. It's how I get internet access at sea!😉

Im not sure if there are bots as such as up to about two weeks ago there was usually something hanging around. A lot of people though will have the page set to notify them of any change when someone lists something which will be why it goes quick.

Not at all convinced by the bots theories .......  .......... I sure hope not ..... However, there's certainly some very hungry lurkers / page monitorers - I just did a quick bit of off-loading of a few, mostly short-dated parts, to fund my bid for tomorrow and the juicy little tidbits all vanished in seconds ! |

If things continue at the rate they are going, my guess is there will be bots running on MT this year. Having sub 1 minute on renewals and sub 5 mins on new loans sort of makes it inevitable.
The answers include playing Google guessing games or prefunding or AC style bidding. So, FC like, living with it. Personally I know which ones I prefer.
edit: the terms and conditions at least ban the use of bots...
Which is a good start I guess. That said those same t&cs have an opt out for marketing which I thought should be an opt in these days.
