Good afternoon. Today we have delivered £1.2m. Here is the full update:
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the UK, we saw an increase in investment release requests. Following the peak of requests on 16th March, we have seen the daily volume of requests fall to normal levels and at the same time more than 9 out of 10 RateSetter investors have continued to invest with us.
We continue to deliver on investment release requests every day and we are processing investment release requests on a chronological basis within our different markets. Since the beginning of the outbreak, we have delivered £27.2m to investors – as detailed on a weekly basis below.
We are very sorry that requests are not being processed at the same speed as usual, but this is an unprecedented environment. It is difficult for us to give specific timing guidance on when your request will be processed but you should expect it to take over a month to complete from the date you made the investment release request. We will keep delivering every day and we will keep you updated.
We hope it provides reassurance to know that your investment continues to earn in the meantime, at a time when base rates have been reduced to near zero and the stock market has seen significant capital losses. Your money continues to help more than 200,000 individuals and businesses across the country.
We have seen a growing number of investors choosing to cancel their requests and continue investing – a cumulative total of £11.2m has been cancelled. Cancellation also frees up capacity which helps those who due to their circumstances may not have a choice of keeping their funds in investments. If you would like to cancel your request please log into your account and scroll to the ‘Investments waiting to be released’ section; email us at invest@ratesetter.com; or call our Investor Services team on 020 3142 6226.
