The loan is ending in 1 month... is it going to go into default?
How much will the administrator and platform fee take from the recovered pot?

The end date for this loan is in just 14 days time and I'd have expected settlement figures would have been provided by now. I strongly suspect that this loan will need to be extended as I'm sceptical that refinance will be possible at the moment. I'd expect any decent platform to be communicating with lenders by this point, but it is par for the course from MoneyThing to keep us in the dark until the last minute. I'd have expected better from the administrators, but perhaps not!

The end date for this loan has now been pushed back to 30/9/2021 with no comment from the administrator or MoneyThing and I'll be making a complaint. End dates can change but treating investors like mushrooms whether inside or outside of administration isn't acceptable and I'll be making a complaint. FYI there is another loan that has also had the end date pushed out by far longer and also without comment and I'll also be making a complaint about that.

Making a complaint may help you let off steam but it will have no effect other than costing lenders yet more in fees.

I have lost track on this one, would I be right in saying that the administrators referred to in the updates are the administrators of Moneything not of this loan.
If so do we know what rights they are claiming to have to withhold our interest from us?

Another compulsory strike off notice published today for this company. Failing to submit last year's accounts on time can't do any favours for refinancing

On the plus side, interest payments continue to be made (although withheld by administrator for time being...) and the restaurant has hundreds of glowing reviews. Cautiously optimistic.

Crystal ball moment - how many pence in £ are we going to recover on capital losses?

A very interesting development on this business. I have put a tracker on companies house announcements;
Appointment of Mr C**** M********* as a director on 2 August 2022
<link identifying borrower redacted>
So it looks like Mr R***** M******** (senior) who has also given a personal guarantee has appointed his son Mr C**** M********* (junior).
The annual companies house accounts are still overdue by 300+ days so perhaps the additional directorship might be a sign that they are still interested in making the business successful?

I'm at least glad that they've finally decided to take some proper action - It's a shame that the owners couldn't get some new debt to re-finance the current loan. It looks like the original director who gave a personal guarantee should also be pursued so hopefully some additional security from his other property development interests which do seem to be operating properly.
