Come on ReBS - the extremely slow login/time to get to dashboard needs to be addressed. It does not seem like an isolated issue from the responses on this thread (I had though maybe I was the only one suffering in silence). It is a fairly fundamental issue which is causing a lot of frustration for many using your site. I'm not particularly IT literate, but I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to identify the cause of this glitch and for this to be addressed quickly (at a guess it is some sort of delay in authentication of login details as the issue really just seems to affect getting to the dashboard and on intial login?).

I may be an exception but I've not encountered these login problems. I use Chrome, the system "pauses" for prob 4-5 secs after I login but then I'm in & fine. No way enough time to make a cuppa. Almost feel like complaining!

Just for the record, I'm not a computer geek - far from it - just an average Joe with a computer.
I use my desktop computer for this sort of thing (I'm useless with tablets/smartphones etc - too small for me - I like to sit down at a desk and have a proper size keyboard to type on). Call me a dinosaur if you like!
Anyway, I run Windows 7 and I use the FireFox browser. And the Rebs website is painfully slow for me. Just logging in can take up to a minute and waiting for my dashboard to load can take another minute.
Most websites I visit and use work very fast/respond instantly, so there is a definite issue with the ReBS website in my opinion.
That said, it's never failed on me. It's just very slow and unresponsive compared with other websites I use.

It always has been a tad slow for me to load the Dashboard, about 10 seconds, 15 with login too, on Win7 FF or Chrome but quite usable.
The current annoyance for me however is the Statement tab view being sorted in ascending date order so you have to go to bottom of list to see most recent activity. It used to be the reverse and you used to be able to click the headings to resort list (like you can with the other tabs) but although clickable nothing changes.

Hi All, sorry to hear some of you are encountering problems with the site speed. I'll ask the technical guys to take a look at this today. Thanks for providing details of the operating systems and browsers that you're using, that always helps with testing.

Hi always been slow for me, I normally go onto another site and wait for it to load, I have windows 8 and chrome, I'm with virgin
once loaded dashboard can take some time to load up, going from one thing to the other can be very irritating
I suffer none of this on any other site that I know of
I also use my 10 year old computer which is none wireless -- same results
at the moment the site isn't working at all - I have tried several times over the last 4 hrs

For a few days now i've noticed some improvement at various times - its taking about ten seconds for the login to think about it rather than 30secs. Not great but much better! Jack P

Yes last couple of days it has been a lot quicker than the norm, I would say roughly twice as fast as it has been over the last few months

It's fine for me Maybe it's because I've got hardly any investments If that were the case it would perhaps be better to make the marketplace the landing page
My bugbear is the login dialog asks for username/email address but actually only accepts username. Gets me every time

I've set the dashboard to show statement transactions of no more than 30 days by default. Loading the full history was slowing the page down for various users. To get to to the statement history you can visit the relevant tab & set the filter.
I'm still looking into speeding up the login process, it seems to be affecting only specific users, making it tricky to fix.
Email login now works.
People have asked me to improve the usability of the forum, which we'll be working on next.

Website logging in and dashboard access speed has also improved for yours truly in the last few days. Still not laser fast but a definite improvement.

Noticeable improvement in speed today.
Login 1sec. to Marketplace 1sec to Dashboard 1sec to secondary market 1sec.
Viewing a loan in the secondary market 2secs. Viewing my statement from dropdown menu 5secs.

I've just tried logging in with my email address (usually use my username so hadn't tried my email address and was curious) and it worked ok for me. I would email support@rebuildingsociety.com P.S. Long time lurker, 1st time poster. I'm also ViperStripes on rebs. I know this screenshot image is a bit small, don't know why but the pink bit says ERROR you must use a username. I got here by pressing login link at top of home page. Looking at the autofill there is also a login page which does work, so the problem is two login dialogues one of which is wrong.
